About

Hello, my name is Abdul, I’m the founder and creative director of 3rd Dimension Photography.

Here’s a little bit of my story. My formative years were characterised by many obstacles and challenges. Often misunderstood, the odds seemed stacked against me.
But i knew that if i simply found my purpose in the world, I could leave a positive impact on the lives of others. I always found joy in capturing a happy moment and eventually realized that a picture could preserve priceless memories.

What started out as a hobby of photographing and filming these moments on the most basic of cameras grew into my hobby and is now my passion. I would take advantage of any opportunity to take pictures of friends, family, and even strangers. I found various mentors and took classes that helped me to refine my hobby into professional photography. I eventually established 3rd Dimension Photography as a business. I have placed no limitations on myself and have photographed in a variety of settings including parties, outdoor/nature, studios, and weddings to name a few.  The hallmarks of my work are vibrancy and color in which I think represent life in each subject. The goal of each encounter with each client is to make sure that it is a memorable and fun experience with guaranteed satisfaction in the final portfolio.  My measure of success is a return client which is very common in my experience. I enjoy new experiences and new challenges and aim to diversify 3rd Dimension Photography with each new client.

My most cherished subject to date is of my best friend, my sister, my confidant, Brittany Scott. Brittany was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and after a period of treatment, she appeared strong as ever and was in remission from her disease. I had the privilege of capturing her victory in a set of beautiful photos which told a story of her fight against this devastating disease that impacts so many throughout the world. The pictures were breathtaking and will always be my favorites. A little more than a year later, she faced the same challenges despite a double mastectomy and was found to have a cancerous mass in her chest wall cavity. She began treatment once again remaining stoic and full of hope. Over the coming months, she faced complications of her treatment and her metastatic stage 4 cancer. Brittany passed in her home with family at her side on March 22nd, 2018. The journey of grief has been difficult with many questions and sad moments. I miss her every day. I dedicate my work and 3rd Dimension Photography to Brittany Monet Scott.
